Hiring


The Hiring Process:

  1. Application-fill out forms
  2. Meet with Supervisory Agent (Assistant to the Special Agent in charge)
    • Approximately 1 hour long
    • Qualifications required: 3 years work experience and college degree
    • If qualifications are met proceed to Treasury Enforcement Agent
  3. Treasury Enforcement Agent (TEA) exam
    • Notified within a week or two if passed
    • Receive a tentative offer of employment
    • Our Members receive past TEA exam questions and guidance on taking exam.

  4. Panel Interview
    • Panel consists of two agents and a supervisory agent.
    • 2-3 hours in length.
    • Over 20 questions with numerous follow-up questions.
    • Responses are rated 1 to 5 with 1 being terrible and 5 being outstanding.
    • You must average a score of 4 to move on in the process.
    • Our Members will receive these questions with the Benchmark responses need to pass this phase.
  5. Polygraph
    • Approximately 4 hours in length
    • Our Members receive actual polygraph questions used in the past and advise on how to prepare for the examination.
  6. Drug screening.
  7. Background check.
  8. Academy report date.
